Before booking: Before we do anything, hit the “Appointment Request” button. You will be asked for some basic information about yourself, your pet, and why you are planning to euthanize your pet- this gets everything in the system. After I receive the form, I will contact you to discuss decision making and, when the time comes, we will find an appointment slot that works. Filling out the form just gets the ball rolling.

Booking: Once we have decided on a time, we will book an appointment. I will email you a consent form with information about after care.

Day of appointment: On the day of the appointment, I will arrive at your home as close to appointment time as possible. If you have a location in mind, it is nice to set it up ahead of time with a favorite blanket or toy- whatever makes your pet feel happy and comfortable. Depending on your pets personality, we may have set up a plan to give sedation medication before I arrive. If not- and in most cases- when I arrive I will give an injection of a sedation medication. This medication will help your pet slowly and gently fall asleep. I like to leave you alone with your pet during this time as this is your chance to say goodbye. Once your pet is completely asleep, I will give the final injection to stop the heart. I will give you as much time as needed to say final goodbyes. I will then either transport them to the cremation facility for you or you will keep them for burial.

After appointment: I will email an invoice. If you elected to have your pet cremated, your pets ashes and any other items of remembrance will be mailed directly from the cremation company to your home.
